Message 15: "A Prostitute, a Lamb & a Bride" Revelation 19:1-10
Now we come to the end of the story of the Bible. It begins with Creation, followed by Ruin. Redemption comes in the middle of the story. In the end, the plot lines must be fulfilled and come to a close.

Message 14: "Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, Sola Fide" Romans 3:21-31
In everyday communication we never use the word "propitiation," yet it's a concept that Christians need to understand or they will never fully understand Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
On Sunday we will continue our study on justification, this time concentrating on how Christ's death and blood was necessary for any of us to find peace with God.

Sunday, Nov 01, 2009110109 -- Message 13 - Justified by Faith

Sermon Series: The Story of the Bible
Message 13: "Justified by Faith"
Romans 3:21-28
Paul's letter to the Romans is not for those looking for an easy Christianity. Romans challenge us to look at all the premises of our faith. The book's first three chapters tell us that none of us, not even the best of us, measure up to God's standards of moral holiness. While our culture tells us that we are basically good people who have been damaged by our environment, the Bible clearly states that we are all sinners, without hope of ever gaining God's favor.
Except. . . now Paul delivers some critically important news. We may fall short of God's standard, but God has provided a way for us. That way is called: justification.
