When Jesus answered a politically charged, hot-button question of the Pharisees and the Herodians by saying, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's", what was he declaring about his politics? What were Jesus' politics?

If Buddha had been asked if he was a politician, he would have said no. If Mohammed had been asked if he was a politician, he would have said yes. If Jesus were asked if he was a politician (involved in the concerns of governance), how would he have answered?
